We’re sure you won’t forget to load the stock, the feed, or your show box, but whether you’re loading for the majors or just heading to the county fair there are a few more things you just shouldn’t leave home without.
- Motivation
Whatever you show, there’s no doubt you put a lot of work into your project. Now matter how you place, let the experience you gain fuel your motivation for future improvement.
- Patience
Sometimes it can feel like shows are all about the hurry up and wait. Wait in line with the trailer. Hurry up through check in. Wait for the class breaks. Hurry up on show day. You should always be patient at the show. Be patient with your animals, your parents, your neighbors and especially with the folks around the show that don’t know as much as you do yet. They’re counting on you to show them the way!
- Focus
When it’s time to hit the ring there’s only one thing on your mind.
- Determination
You have to want it bad enough that going the extra mile is just a walk in the park.
- Dependability
People count on you to do what you say you’re going to do, when you say you’re going to do it. Be dependable.
